Annoyingly, these links are another source of frustration and instability. They become absolute, including the full path to the source workbook, or relative, including the difference between the source and destination paths.

Although this sounds sensible, Excel employs arcane rules to decide when to use each type of link and change them. Consider a situation where you have a list of invoices in Excel. The user types the name of the customer slightly differently on each invoice. Any analysis of the invoice data, such as a pivot table based on customers by month, delivers multiple results when there should only be one. Large workbooks are challenging to navigate. The sheet tabs across the bottom of the window are a terrible mechanism for finding your way around when there are numerous amounts of them.

Formulae and Macros - I am not sure what these are for my purposes. The second is my radio programme list - as for macros - I am not sure what they but my radio programme is just a weekly list. It is in three columns wide and 25 segments down - and I put in music information in each column - the text is Calibre font size 11 apart from the title for that radio programme ie the date.

I suppose it is almost like a never ending table, if the problem cannot be fixed I will have to start all six years x 52 weeks again.
